So it seems that I must endure another night of only 4 hours of sleep. I'm not sure what is happening inside my brain to make me so sleep deprived, but here I sit, 4 o'clock in the morning while everyone else is blissfully sleeping. I am wandering around the house, eating cereal and contemplating life. The heater is humming quietly and I can hear Shawn snoring in the background. Words are jumping around in brain, but I just can't seem to bring them all together and let them flow out of me.
Such is life at the moment.
What does a person DO at 4 a.m.? I am open to suggestions.
Hey you might already have heard of this article http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/23/opinion/sunday/rethinking-sleep.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
ReplyDeleteabout "second sleep". (Sorry I haven't figured out to do fancy linky text.)
It doesn't help me sleep any better, Ha! but eases my mind a little about maybe why I am waking up in the wee hours? I wake up many nights after about 5 hours, and unfortunately most of the time it's only an hour or so before I actually have to get up, so I never get that "second sleep". But on the weekends sometimes I do. :)
